JEANS TOO TIGHT? By Randy Baranczyk February 2, 2008 (draft) 1254 Juno Avenue Saint Paul, Minnesota 55116 651-895-6839 Cast: Worried Wife, not too thin. Honest Husband. SCENE ONE - INT. BEDROOM, DAYTIME We are watching as a woman zips up a pair of blue jeans that are rather snug on her. She is looking in a mirror, facing one way, then the other. WORRIED WIFE (to herself) Oh dear. I wonder if I've put on a few pounds. These used to fit just fine. Maybe they were dried too hot in the dryer. Oh, I don't know. After a few more poses, she shakes her head and walks away from the mirror. SCENE TWO - INT. LIVING ROOM, DAYTIME We see a man sitting on the couch, reading the newspaper. Walking into frame is Worried Wife, who we see from behind. She walks toward the man. WORRIED WIFE Honey, do these jeans make me look like the side of the house? Be honest, now. She does a quick modeling sequence for the man, turning one way, then the other, then all the way around. The man looks up from his reading and gazes carefully while Worried Wife models the jeans. He looks up to Worried Wife. HONEST HUSBAND Like the side of the house? No, dear, not at all. She smiles. WORRIED WIFE Really? He goes back to his newspaper. HONEST HUSBAND Our house isn't blue. FADE OUT THE END
