Bear............................................................................

Grandpa’s house. Grandchild is sitting on Grandpa’s lap. Grandpa is reading "The Legend of Davey Crockett" aloud.

Grandpa

...And Davey Crockett kilt’ him a bear when he was only three.

Grandchild

What did you say, Grandpa?

Grandpa

I said Davey Crockett kilt’ him a bear when he was only three.

Grandchild

He kilt’ him a bear?

Grandpa

That’s right; he kilt him a bear. And he was only three at the time.

Cut to close-up of grandchild’s puzzled face. Wavy blur to next scene. "The Ballad of Davey Crockett" plays as they sing, "Kilt’ him a bar when he was only three. Davey! Davey..." Music fades as scene is set. A bear is standing on a stool wearing a plaid kilt or skirt. Grandchild kneels next to him wearing a coonskin hat, a tape measure around his/her neck and a pincushion on his/her wrist. He/she is sticking pins into the hem.

Bear

Do you think plaid makes me look fat?
