Morgan's world of the Amoeba

SCREEN SWIPE: Normal Screen Swipe from Right to Left, swiping from a blank screen. The screen swipe freezes about
one third across, in sync with a CLUNKing noise. The right third of the screen shows part of a desk, which would be
centered on the full screen. The background is a typical studio background. The left two thirds of the screen remain blank.
After several seconds, part of a MAN's head appears over along the edge of the "swipe" as if peering around the "corner."
The head disappears. There is an O. S. sound of chair SLIDING out from desk. The man, Morgan, 40s, short, mousy
looking, dressed in a suit and bow tie, with short, slicked back dark hair, and thick rimmed glasses, waddles on screen
from behind the desk. He stops and appears to look at the "swipe" edge. He looks pensively. He walks around to the front
of the (partially viewed) desk, and tries to shove the swipe further. He puts his whole body into it, straining. The swipe
moves only a slight amount.
Morgan steps back. He looks off screen opposite to the swipe.
MORGAN
Excuse me..ah. um...excuse me...can somebody
help me here? This thing's... it's...ah it seems to be stuck...
Getting no answer, Morgan walks around behind the desk, and disappears behind the swipe. The desk starts moving to the right, accompanied by SCRAPING noises. The desk comes into full view (in the right third of the screen). Morgan brings the chair to the desk and sits down.
MORGAN
Hello. My Name is Morgan. Welcome to...ah...
Morgan looks behind him. He gets up and goes behind the swipe. OFF CAMERA sounds of CRASHING and BANGING. Morgan appears with a sign that says, "Morgan's World of the Amoeba," with a crude drawing of an amoeba, and a three legged stand. He clumsily tries to set the stand up behind the desk, and put the sign on the stand. He sits down.
MORGAN
Welcome to the amazing to world of the
amoeba. My name is Morgan. Did you know...
FADE IN of a video clip on the blank part of the screen. Something flashy, with a loud sound track. Could be video of an African jungle, or something from Entertainment Tonight (ie fashion models in swimsuits).
MORGAN
(yelling)...Did you know that Amoeba have
been living on this world...(drowned out)
(looks to the right) Could you shut this down...
hello...could someone shut this down?
Morgan disappears behind the swipe. After a few second a BANG is heard, and another BANG. The left part of the screen cracks up, and the pieces fall. Morgan is seen standing behind, holding his orthopedic black shoe in his hand. He looks satisfied as he tries to put his shoe back on, with a shoehorn, while speaking.
MORGAN
The Amoeba as been living on this world....excuse me.
He bends down to get his shoe on, and falls backwards. He gets the shoe on, then ties it. He stands back up.
MORGAN
There!
The credits start rolling up the screen very fast.
MORGAN
Wait! Not yet! I'm not fin-
SCREEN SWIPES come from both ends heads toward Morgan in the middle. He sees them and hold out both arms to stop them.
MORGAN
Nooooooooo!
END
