Oily Skin

EXT.CITY STREET, DAY

ANNOUNCER (v.o.)
Do you have problems with oily skin.

STAN waits for traffic to clear at an intersection so he can cross the street.
His face is covered with oil. (poured, runny, thick, stains collar of shirt). A
woman walks up next
to him. Their eyes meet. He smiles but she is horrified and sickeningly repulsed.
        He frowns reluctantly.
Oil drips on the ground by him. He walks away. She walks but slips on the oil
and wipes out. He walks across the street. Behind him a car skids and spins out.

INT. PUBLIC SPOT, DAY

ANNOUNCER (v.o.)
Does oily skin make it hard for you to meet that special someone?

Stan stands nervously. He wipes his oily face with his hand and tries
to clean his hand off but can't. BOB and SALLY walk up.

BOB
There you are Stan. Sally I'd like you to meet my good buddy     Stan.

        She's dubious but polite.

SALLY
    Ah…Hi Stan.

STAN
    Hi!

They shake hands and she gets oil on her hands.
She tries to clean it off. She gets out a handkerchief from her purse and
tries to clean it but can't. Stan is really embarrassed. Eventually she
excuses herself.

SALLY
    Well, I gotta go…Bye.

STAN
It was really nice to meet….you…

He doesn't get to finish his sentence as she's already gone. Bob looks at him,
shakes his head and walks off.

EXT. PARK, DAY

ANNOUNCER (v.o.)
Does your oily skin even repulse little children?

Stan sits dejectedly on a park bench by a playground. A ball rolls by him.
A kid runs over and picks it up. She sees him, screams and runs away. Stan
        dejectedly stands and walks away.

INT. BATHROOM, DAY

ANNOUNCER (v.o.)
You've probably tried every skin product available but nothing     works.

Stan tries to apply skin cream. He looks at himself and then throws down
        the tube dejectedly.

ANNOUNCER (v.o.)
And there really isn't any hope that I can see.

Stan looks at the camera quizzically.

ANNOUNCER (v.o.)
But that shouldn't prevent you from living your life to the fullest.

STAN
    What do you mean?

ANNOUNCER
    Try this.

The announcer hands him a paper bag with eyes and mouth cut out.
        Stan puts it on.

STAN
    Wow! It fits.

EXT. SIDEWALK, DAY

Stan, wearing the paper bag strolls confidently down the street. He passes
a woman and waves. She reacts quizzically.

EXT. PARK, DAY

Stan plays catch with a ball with a child.

INT. DAY

Stan sitting on a couch wearing his paper bag. There are oil stains on the bag.

STAN
And, thanks to a paper bag, I can meet that special someone.

The camera pans back and he's sitting with a woman, also wearing a paper
bag with oil stains. They hold hands, laugh and talk.

EXT. DAY

Stan and the woman walk down the street, arm in arm. Someone crosses
their path behind them, slips and wipes out with a "Whoa!" Stan and the
        woman don't notice.
